Le Bel Espoir du Pere Jaouen : Stagadon

    The island of Stagadon

    Stagadon island

Stagadon is an island located in the heart of "Pays des Abers"

Situated 4°35' West and 48°37'30² North, at the mouth of Aber Wrac'h, its is the most western island of the archipelago of Lilia (part of the town of Plouguerneau).

Stagadon or Enez Stagadenn (in breton) means : the island linked to the continent. You can access the island either on foot at low tides during the spring tides from the ports of Aber Wrac'h or Lilia, or by boat (about 20 mins) via the natural channel of the aber.

Stagadon has a surface of about 10 acres. Its long shape and North-West orientation, explains the contrast between its "wild coast" facing the open sea and its fine sandy beach facing the continent which is rightly considered as one of the most beautiful beaches of "Pays des Abers".
